Spring has sprung early as far as the real estate market is concerned. Buyers are out and circling, anxiously waiting for inventory to hit. I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but the lack of ‘good’ inventory continues to be the story in real estate circles. Check out our market data graphs: Arlington is [...]

Local governments *tried* to make budget cuts to keep costs down…but apparently, Northern Virginia homeowners should prepare to see a slight increase in their real estate taxes. Arlington, Virginia, Arlington County: current tax rates are .838 for every $100 of the assessed value. The budget for 2010 has that increasing to $0.865 Fairfax County, Virgina: tax rates [...]

In Fairfax County, the real estate tax rate is going from $0.92 per $100 of assessed value to $1.04 per $100. This doesn’t sound like much, but current estimates are that over 150,000 homeowners will pay more than they did last year. . . even if their assessment is lower. Here’s a map published in [...]

Close to the Clarendon metro, close to the major highways leading to Tysons Corner as well as downtown D.C. Currently there are 11 properties listed in the neighborhood, with 3 under [...]
